토이 피아노 연주자 차혜리 님의 위촉을 받고 쓰게 된 곡.

"순간이동"은 자살을 의미한다. 지금까지 아카데믹한 방향 혹은 느리고 어두운 곡들을 위주로 작업해 왔는데 이번에 또 느리고 어두운 곡을 할 거 같다. 언젠가 인터넷에서 유서들을 모아 놓은 글을 본 적이 있다. 꽤나 강한 인상을 받았는데, 그 유서들 중 열 한 개를 추려서 그것들을 소재로 서곡과 엔딩곡을 합쳐서 13개의 미니어처로 이뤄진 곡을 써 봤다. 역시 이 곡에서도 상징놀이 기법이 적용되어 음악을 구성하는 재료들은 유서의 각 문장 혹은 묘사하는 상황을 개념적으로 상징한다. 그리고 벌어지는 음악적 사건들의 음악 외적 aura 역시 중요하다.

<프로그램 노트>
유서라는 건 한 사람의 인생 최후, 혹은 그 직전의 생각들이 짧은 분량으로 압축된 문서다. 증오, 미안함 등의 감정에서부터 드물게는 감사함과 평온함까지. 이 모든 스쳐가는 생각들과 느낌들을 아이러니하게도 가장 덜 진지한 장난감 악기와 한 대의 피아노, 그리고 제한된 전자음향 안에서 표현해 봤다.
실제 자살자들의 유서 10 여개를 정독한 후 곧바로 유서 한 장 당 아주 짧은 1분 남짓의 음악적인 도식을 그려 내 보았다. 음악적 전개... 복합적인 표현... 모두 죽음 앞에서는 눈에 들어오지 않을 뿐이다. 내가 곧 죽는다는 사실과, 남겨진 가족들에 대한 애처로움 혹은 증오심만이 남을 뿐.
다 쓰고 나니 조금 부족한 것 같아서, 중간중간에 인생 최후의 장소와 그 정취를 묘사한 간주곡들도 넣어 보았다. 곧 겨울이 온다. 하지만 인생에서는 겨울이 예고하고 찾아오지는 않는 것 같다.

Teleportation means "suicide" and letter means final will before death. Hatred, regrets, thankfulness, peace... all thoughts and feelings are being compressed into a piece of writings before the death. I ironically tried to express this serious texts with "toy" instruments, small speaker and many small objects which can be found in normal house.
I read 10 short texts written by suicide committers and composed 10 miniatures and made three additional interludes. Musical progress, complex expression is not important at all in front of death. Only the truth that I will die in several minutes is the most important thing.
Also in this piece, the symbolic play technique is applied, and the materials that make up the music conceptually symbolize each sentence or situation of the will from suicide committers. And the extra-musical aura of the musical events that takes place in this piece are also important.
